I was at the Hurricane Easter Car Show showing off the recent restoration of my 1954 Corvette C1. An old acquaintance ogled the car and approached. He says, “I have a C5 Corvette, how is the best way to sell it.” I remembered an old friend had once asked me to find him a good used Corvette, and I thought maybe I should take a look. A few weeks later I went to check it out.

There stood pristine a low mileage coupe in magnetic red. I was in love and the price was right. I then asked, “why are you selling it?” “I’m getting too old for it,” was his reply. Turns out he was three years younger than I was; I bought it anyway. So, I told my other friend “I found you the perfect ‘Vette, but you can’t have it, I’m keeping it for myself.”
