General Motors unveiled the 2023 Corvette Z06 in October of the 2021 calendar year, bolstering the C8 Corvette lineup with a next-level performance machine powered by a new, naturally aspirated, flat-plane crank V8 engine. The first production-spec C8 Corvette Z06 rolled off the line in November of the 2022 calendar year.

In total, 6,413 units of the 2023 Corvette Z06 were built since November 2022, including 3,109 Z06 Coupes and 3,304 Z06 Convertibles. A total of 53,785 C8 Corvettes were produced for the 2023 model year, which means Z06 variants accounted for just under 12 percent of total 2023 Corvette production.

It should be noted that the 2023 Corvette Z06 faced a number of production constraints. Back in 2022, C8 Z06 production was constrained at just 10 percent of accepted orders due to a plant restriction. The sports car’s carbon aero packages also faced a heavy constraint.

As a reminder, the 2023 Corvette Z06 features the naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 LT6 gasoline engine, which is rated at 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The GM Y2 platform provides the underpinnings, while production takes place exclusively at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.
