General membership/dinner meeting on July 7th at Chef Alfredos
56 members attended the general membership/dinner meeting on July 7th at Chef Alfredos.
COM winner was Dennis Fichtner.
Membership awards went to John and Karen Stenicka, John and Val Liston, who received their 10-year pins.
New members were introduced: Bill Martin along with George and Natalie Newman.
50/50 winners were Fran Crum and Shirlee Sanderson along with our door prize drawing recipients of Steven Wade gift Certificates Tony Lonnett, Mike Roe, and Marcie Collins.
Great turnout for the 4th of July Veterans parade and our club’s 20th Anniversary picnic. A total of 30 cars participated in the parade around the Ivins Veterans Home and then a Show&Shine car show in the parking lot for the residents that also
piqued the interest with some locals stopping to view our cars.
The CCCC collected 2750. dollars for the veterans to use in their “Fun Fund”. Much thanks to the Crum family for their hard work with the organization of the parade, picnic, and all that great food! And congratulations and much appreciation to our founder: Doug Rosa. You deserve a special hat!
Kaibab band of Indians entertained the CCCC with lunch and refreshments on the 18th of July with eleven cars attending for a show and shine that attracted quite afew visitors. A delicious pulled pork lunch with sides was served by our host alongwith cold drinks. Thanks to Mike Roe for organizing this event.
CCCC date nite took place on the 21st of July with 17 members (ok, who was the odd man out?) starting with dinner at George’s Restaurant, and then a classic movie at the Electric Theater in St George viewing the 45th anniversary of Indiana
Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Thanks Grayson for arranging this event.
