August Dinner Meeting at Chef Alfredos
There were forty-one attendees at our August dinner meeting at Chef Alfredos. After the Pledge of Allegiance, the meeting began at 6:30.
Jane and Kevin Reith received their 2-year pins.
Dennis and Rose Fichtner were presented with their August Car of the Month award photo. Car of the Month winner for September was Jim and Linda Bright, who coincidentally are also first-time attendees as new members. Congratulations!
Three new members have joined our club: Jim and Linda Bright, Bill Martin, and Mark Remington.
We now have a total of 160 members.
Sunshine Report: No additional reports. Thank God for that!
Mike Rowe spoke about the Pipe Springs Car Show. Eleven corvettes were in attendance. Shirts with the event name and our club logo were handed out to the attendees. Pipe Springs provided lunch, and our club was again invited to attend next year. This will be determined upon club interest.
Mike also stated the V&C events will resume as breakfast and coffee with a planned road trip afterwards. We will meet on the third Thursday of every month starting Aug. 20, at Sapp Bros. Travel Center in Torquerville. Also, anyone wishing to volunteer to plan a road trip, please do so. Otherwise, default trips will be scheduled upon interest.
Doug Rosa spoke about the Grand Junction Air Show Oct 3rd&4th. All those interested in attending are to make their own hotel reservations. The sooner the better.
Drawing winners are as follows:
Brian Williams and Craig Headrick split the 50/50 pot for $41 each.
Steven Wade Certificate Winners were Morey Sanford $20, Bill Martin $20, and
Norm Rollingson $50.
Door prizes went to Brian Williams, a corvette book, Heather Rollingson and Paul Styka won corvette signs, and Susan Smithson won corvette jewelry.
